I often refer to the SP site as a maze... and rightly so: it's huge! Dig into this site through searches on various words and terms, especially using the word 'article' after the word/s searched. You will find things you had not seen before! Why? It's mostly about space and just how much can be put out in front of us at any given time. But so much is HERE!
Among the items that I like are the basics.
The Fuel for Improvement System www.sparkpeople.com/syst
is a resource that I consider the guts of the site.
I hope you'll take a minute to look at that page AND the links at the bottom of that page!
Of those four items (or quadrants) that outline the System for improvement, Fire is a huge one for me. It goes beyond 'mere' motivation. Yes, one of the links on the above page goes into depth about Fire, but the best illustration of a component (quadrant, to me) called FIRE in the system is shown on the quick-to-SEE pyramid visual of the Fuel for System:
About a year after I came to SP I printed the Pyramid and put one copy near the computer, another on my refrigerator. I scribbled all over the one near the computer, with circled notes that connected to various sections by means of lines and arrows.
It literally became a resource tool for me.
The Pyramid's four quadrants:
"Create a Springboard to Personal Achievement"
"Get Clar About Your Goals"
"Share Your Wisdom & Energy, Get More in Return"
"Live with Passion, Energy & a Sense of Adventure"
Each consists of four levels of progress (another word might work, but I choose that one), so this is a system in which the 4 basics have foundations and go upward as we progress.
The levels of each component, from the foundation up:
"the Building blocks"
"Fuel for Improvement"
"Success Happens Here", and
I sort of hop up and down between 2 levels, stepping on and off a level depending on which quadrant I focus. How about you? Do you see yourself standing on the pyramid? (whether in one spot or here and there like I am!?)
