Fit, Firm and Focus - Day 9

My planned schedule has been interrupted for a few days because of volume of work. I've managed short bouts of exercise on a couple of days but mostly spent spare time mentally and physically washed out.
Luckily, there has been no weight gain but I had a shot across the bows this morning when a routine GP visit showed mild hypertension. So I'm going to tighten up on salt/sodium - pretty low anyway but I confess that I've been so picky on the 'sugar' intake recently that I haven't read much further down the labels.... and any snacks have been savoury which is where the salt lurks.
Anyhow, my Doc feels the 30 mins x exercise is crucial on as many weekdays as I can manage so I'm glad I have my F,F and F plan in place.

Focus*Day 9 - The message is that when you hit a flat patch, resist the temptation to slump in a chair and give up.
Today I filled a carrier with 14lbs of paperbacks and made myself carry it up and down our two flights of stairs a couple of times. It hurt and even when I distributed it into two 7lb bags, I could feel the difference on my knees as I walked down the stairs.
That weight was on my body a few months ago.
So I celebrate how far I've come, what I've learned - particularly from SP - and the good habits I have now.
