#Fit2Feast Day 8

Excuse me? What happened to Days 5-7?
I ate. Off plan; Off target; Off sensible.
By last night I felt Off colour; was Off hand with my DH.
This morning was weekly weigh-in. I'd put weight ON.
For the first hour this am I was distinctly Off it with any Unfortunates who crossed my path.
Why did I eat and eat? Because I blew it at the Bonfire Party (quite apt!) and ate the jacket potatoes (extra cheese); the breadsticks; the crusty loaf; the ginger cake; the fireworks cupcakes with the sparkly sprinkles....etc.
I ignored the salad; the lean meats; the veg rich soup; the pumpkin pave...
And the next day, I wanted all those high carb, low fibre, sugar buzz foods all over again.
And I thought, 'Blow this. I've messed up this week. I might as well just have them.'
I guess we've all done it. The trick is getting OFF the downward spiral and getting ON the healthy eating/exercise pathway again.
That is why I am very glad to be here at Sparkpeople. The positive messages are here when we log in. The teams and our Sparkfriends are here to give us a gentle, non-judgmental push back onto the right path.
I've done a couple of Jessica Smith routines today and I made myself a healthy fibre rich breakfast. The F&V portions are counted out and the water is at hand.
