Week 3 update

I missed my week 2 involvement challenge blog, I spent several days incapacitated with a migraine. Over the past six months my migraines have gone from having one once every four months, if even that, to having about 15 a month. I've spent a lot of time at the neurologist and with my PCP trying to figure out the cause of the drastic change. We still haven't gotten to the bottom of this, however, I have learned A LOT about my triggers. Something has changed in my body chemistry lately that has made my mild MSG intolerance more severe. I've also learned a lot about paying attention to ingredient labels. Just because a label does not say monosodium glutamate, does not mean it's safe for me to eat, MSG is hidden under other labels, such as yeast extract, or hydrolyzed anything. Another trigger has been my sleep, if I do not get at least 8 hours of sleep I wake up with a migraine. However painful this has been, it's been very good for me as well, it means I have to be even more careful about what I put in my body, and that is a very good thing.
I've been doing really well with my program over the past couple of weeks. I've been getting in my freggies, drinking plenty of water, and more focused on emotional eating. My fitness program has been pretty simple, on my work days I walk the hall at work, I can usually eat my lunch and then get in a mile and a half of walking afterwards, this is an improvement from my mile lunch walk that I was able to do last month. On my days off I get in my dancing for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. At some point I'll be able to get another gym membership, but right now I'm good with where I'm starting out. All I have to do is turn on my work out playlist and ask my work out partner if she's ready, and we boogie our booties off. We have such a great time with it. Plus whenever I'm cooking or cleaning I turn everything into getting as much movement in as possible. I'm starting to really enjoy this again, which makes it easier of course. And I'm excited about where I can be a year from now.
Pics this week are of my dance partner and I, they aren't very high quality because they are taken of our feet while we're moving. I'm also having a really hard time getting pics uploaded. I take them with my phone and I have to resize and send them to my email several times for Spark to want to take them, so that decreases the quality as well, so I apologize ahead of time for that.
