September 12 - Time flies and I see that I don't journal as often as I would like, but I am consistently exercising and eating right. Just got a popup that I've had 90 mins of exercise a week for #10 weeks. Yay! Feeling happy and fit today. As always everyone - thanks for the support even if it's just participating whatever that looks like for you. I love jumping around SP to see what motivates people. It's very encouraging.
August 19 - Been thinking of getting back to journaling. Has it really been since Aug 6?! Wow! Feeling good about my choices and will try to get back on a daily basis. I had fruit this morning with flax seed and slivered almonds. Still getting my coffee in and have water at my desk.
Day 4 - Aug 6
Made eggs at home and walked to the train station (about 1 mile). Lunch is a sandwich from home and grapes.
Need to get more water in though...push, push, push and get that water in. I got on the scale this morning and it is going in the right direction but I had gained 10 pounds back of the 20 I lost so a good catch. That weight doesn't creep back on it comes back quickly but day 4 back on track.
Plus I walked at lunch and the tracker is showing 10,000 steps completed.
Day 3 - Aug 5
Because I don't have an excessive amount of weight to lose (20-30 lbs) and I want to be able to keep it off which is super hard for me, I think it's important to do it the way I know I'll have long-term success and that is the simple method of calories out have to exceed calories in. Ideal Protein mentioned below works for many people, but for me, right now, I think it's important that I continue trying each day to make the right choices that will bring me to my weight loss goals.
Yesterday was a very good day getting my water in, walking at lunch and getting on the elliptical at the gym after work.
We had chicken caesar salad at home last night and I didn't over-do the dressing and the one thing I also didn't do was have a glass of white wine that I usually enjoy with this salad and no bread.
Today I am having my cereal with a banana for breakfast and lunch will be a sandwich and grapes.
I can't walk at lunch or go to the gym tonight so I will have to work hard (walking stairs at work and standing at my desk) to get my 10,000 steps in.
Day 2 - Aug 4
An attorney in my office lost 30 pounds in 4 months. I need to check in with her to find out how she did it. I'm sure it comes down to calories out have to exceed calories in.
I had a good day yesterday getting my 10,000+ steps in (17,476!!) - walking at lunch with friends and on the stationary bike at gym for 8 miles.
So far I had scramble eggs for breakfast (made at home) with a 1/2 cup chopped sausage. I'm standing at my desk and on my 2nd glass of water (16 oz) this one with DE.
My lunch is packed chicken sandwich from home, fruit cup and banana.
Day 1 - Aug 3
So I’ve decided to start journaling. Probably not a lot of interest for SP, but hopefully another way for me to stay focused on my weight loss goals.
It’s Day 3 of my Pink Cookie Challenge. I only count work days because it’s not much of a challenge if I’m miles away and can’t physically get to the cookie.
I’ve also decided that during the week M-F I’m going to try and keep my liquid intake to water and that includes having coffee and tea.
Friends and I walked at lunch and that has put me into just a few hundred steps of 10,000.
Instead of driving to the train this morning I walked a short distance to the bus and it takes me to the train and the train drops me in the basement of the building I work in. I like this method of commuting but I have to get out of the house 15-20 mins earlier to make it work.
So a good day…plus, I’m going to the gym this evening.
I can do this. I’m strong and capable of making good choices that will bring me success in my journey to be fit and healthy.
