Cornera Transplant Over

Thursday I finally got my new cornea in my right eye. I have not had much pain--just a little touchiness and very sensitive to light today. This morning Dr. Stackhouse took off the bandage/shield, was very pleased with how things looked, and told me, only 16 stitches. Then he decided I needed to put a contact on that eye. My first thought was NO as I had already told them I was NOT going to attempt to wear contacts again as I had scratched my eye years ago when I tried to wear them and my thought was a definite NO WAY!!! Then he said is was a soft lens and had nothing to do with vision, just to make sure there wasn't any leakage (?). I admit, I did not really understand that but said ok then. It did not hurt, and if I loose this contact before I see the Dr. on Monday, that is ok. I do not take it in or our--just leave it alone. I can do this.
Now my vision is almost 0 right now but it takes "time," just how much, I don't know and don't think he knows either but I will give it "time."
I will keep ya'll updated at least weekly and how things progress.
Hope everyone has a great day.
