Dust Off the DVD Challenge Day 2

Sunday, December 06, 2015

Ummm - Rebounding.

The PT Bouncer was appropriated long ago by my sons and has been languishing in the garage. Hence I needed to give it a good clean before bringing it indoors to use it alongside the DVD - in itself a nice little work out.

Yes, today's DVD is 'PT Bouncer Complete Body Workout' (Date unknown) but, judging by the dust, pretty vintage. There are 83 minutes of mix and match activities - including Stretch, Cardio fat Burner, Cardio Combat, Urban Dance, Kids, 50+ - all presented cheerfully by a chap called Karl Frew and helped by two assistants, one of whom is rebounding in a way more supportive top than I currently possess. There is a giant sign reading 'Motivate' at the back of the stage/gym hall in case I develop any negative thoughts.

Now I haven't done any rebounding for a long time and even a short spell made my legs ache, plus my arm movements were somewhat impeded by the need to hang on to my upper anatomy (memo to self - double sports bras). However, I can see how this would build stamina and do wonders for the cardio-vascular system AND it's easy on the knees - I hope - tomorrow will tell.

Will I do it again? Well, the rebounder is now indoors, leaning against the exercise bike. Watch this space....
