Not Happy with Dr. Visit today

Wednesday, December 09, 2015

I saw Dr. Stackhouse this morning--eye surgeon. He was very pleased with how my eye was looking--except one of the stitches had broke. That was ok until he noticed that my eye was "leaking" and that was not good. He did remove the broken stitch--the thought was freaking me out but it went very well--no pain--and then added some dye. Now the problem of leakage so now I have a soft contact lens on the eye and will wear it until next Wednesday when I see him again in Brunswick. I asked about exercise, line dancing, lifting--well the answer to all was "no"--all I can do is leisure walking. I can hold the babies if someone puts them in my lap but cannot lift them--Lyla is now 4 months and Baylen is almost 7 weeks old. My vision is still improving, the eye is healthy and no infection . I still have drops 4 times a day--PrednisoLone and an antibiotic. If the cornea does still and quit leaking, all is well, but if not, he will put another stitch in my eye at his office. He told the truth about taking the stitch out not hurting so I am trying to trust putting a stitch in will be ok too.

Now another wait and see week.

How disappointing! I'm sure all will be well but we do like things to go the way they are supposed to, right? Prayers that you'll have a good recovery and not need further treatment.

You have progress with your eye, lets hope and pray all is well when you see the doctor next week. I know how frustrating it is to be took you must wait to get more active ( been there ), but it is for the best. You don't want to do anything to jeopardize the progress,or cause a strain having a leakage going on. Hoping for the best next week.

Things are sounding like they are making progress, I can understand the apprehension, and want you to know my prayers are with you and I am hoping for a good report next doctor's visit, please take care and follow the instructions carefully as you don't want to undo the good that has been done... emoticon emoticon emoticon

Well, follow the doctor's orders... and behave... Prayers are still being sent for your health being restored. The world of medicine can do such wondrous things that only a few years ago were relegated to the world of fantasy land.
Know your SP friends are pulling for you.

While not great news, it certainly sounds correctable. I hope the current adjustments are rewarded with healing next week.
