Eye Update 12/16/15

Today was the day I did not want to come. We got to Brunswick about 9 a.m. and my appointment was suppose to be at 9:15. I finally saw Dr. Stackhouse about 11 and my eye was still leaking--that meant he needed to put the stitch back in that had busted. I would be awake and it had to be in the "operating room" where lasiure (?) surgery is done for cataracts. The room had to be cleaned and the machine moved before he could do my eye. I also had to sign consent papers (etc.) so it was after 12 before he could start. It only took about 10 minutes to put the stitch in, check and make sure all was well with other machine in another room, and get the soft lens back in my eye (was used as a "band-aide"). Ashley was not a happy camper even though I was fine. Doc keep apologizing to me about how long things were taking but it had to be done and he couldn't make others work any faster than they were. I did want everything to be right. Now I still have to take it easy, no exercise except leisure walking, no lifting either. UGH!! No picking up the great grand babies. I see Doc again next Tuesday. If all is well and it has sealed, I will not have to see him until he comes back to Waycross, toward the last of January. Brunswick is almost 2 hours from us and Waycross is less than 1 hour. I am really hoping that will be the case.
Tomorrow morning we see the hematologist for Ashley and I am praying it is good news.
