I feel good.

I feel good about myself because I am eating healthy and exercising. How I feel, physically and mentally, is more important than what the scale says I am actually enjoying eating healthy foods. Often when I invite people over for a meal I tell them it is going to be a diabetic friendly meal. Some of them are trying to lose weight also so they are happy to try what I make even if has flax seed, tofu or wheat germ in it. Sometimes they even ask for the recipe.
It's like physical therapy, sometimes I don't feel like getting up and making the effort but I do it anyway and when I am done I feel better and I feel proud of myself. I have only my self to please - I am responsible for doing what is best for me.
