Ashley heart is now in Rhythm

Wednesday, February 17, 2016

Monday 2/15 the cardiologist did a TEE test and then shocked Ashley's heart 1 time and it got him out of A-Fib (Flutter). Yeah!!! We had hopes he would be allowed to come home Tuesday--then Wednesday--now maybe Thursday but I am not holding my breath. He was angry when doc would not release him. Friday will be 2 weeks in the hospital. The good news is that his white cells came up from .8 to .9 and his platelets went down from 1400+ to 1100. His hand is now back to normal size and his foot is very close to normal after being so swollen from cellulitis. I am tired from 2 hr. drive every day and sitting/pacing in the hospital about 10 hrs a day. Most of the nursing staff has been super good to him but the few that are not really bother him a lot. Little things like not turning out the lights, not closing the door (he can only use the potty chair) are large things to him. I would love to stay with him 24/7 but we don't have anyone to stay with Rascal and that would worry Ashley. Tori does feed him every day at lunch but I have it fixed and ready for him before I leave in the morning. Donna (local daughter) has always been our "baby" sitter but she has had surgery and is not able to stay with him. Right now, her mother-in-law is staying with Donna to help her. Rascal does not really like mother-in-law. I pray Ashley will be able to come home soon.

I hope Ashley is soon home.
I can never understand why some nurses nurse properly and "care" for their patients and others are so lax.
I think some of them need to go on a refresher course on dignity for their patients.

Ashley and your family will be in my prayer Ikkle Turtle emoticon

So happy to hear some good news, lets hope this is a great sign for even more to come. Hopefully, Ashley will be home soon. That would be nice for the both of you. Traveling two hours to the hospital every day does make for a long day.
