April 1 - wow - where did the month of March go!?

Really nothing new - continued to go to the gym 3-4 days a week. I have quite using the bike (hurt my tush too much) and concentrated on the treadmill and then about a week ago I added the rower. I don't spend a whole lot of time in the gym but I am consistent which to me means more than any goal setting (because I'm not about setting goals I may not achieve which would make me feel like I've failed somehow - which I haven't)

I have noticed that I no longer yearn for a hearty breakfast right after I've walked out - lol - that by itself is a good thing.

I have more energy throughout the day - that is a good thing

I don't believe I've lost any weight but I'm comfortable with my mid 160s - loosing weight would be nice but that's not why I'm going to the gym - so again since I'm not using that as a "goal" I'm not disappointing myself.

Now that the weather has gotten nicer I plan on walking at a local park on the days I don't get to the gym - I'm less self conscious about myself than I was a few years back (I think I posted a blog on that) and have gained some confidence in myself that not everyone who might see me on the sidewalk actually cares what I'm doing lol

Tomorrow night (4-2-16) my Boy Scout Troop (and I) will attend Honor Flight at our local airport. For those who don't know what Honor Flight is it's an organization (totally volunteer) that take war veterans to Washington DC for the day. It started out with WWl and WWll veterans but now it's including Korean and Vietnam veterans as the older veterans pass away. Some walk - some in wheelchairs - each accompanied by a volunteer handler. I have done several - there are usually a couple of hundred people who go to welcome these men and women back - and it's always a moving experience that I'm honored to be able to do it each time.

April will be another great month! I just know it will!
