Saving calories for special meal

Today I wanted a special dinner so I saved 2/3rds of my calories for it. I actually finished under in calorie count. I also found I didn't enjoy the meal as much as I anticipated I would....taste buds changing? Do you "save" calories in a day or a week for a special meal or treat? Is this okay to do occasionally?

    you may wish to look at the intermittent fasting (IF) article on SP. They suggest consuming 500 to 600 calories per day for 2 or 3 days then eating normally (1800 calories per day) for the others. Apparently, research suggests that it keeps the metabolism revved up, so that you don't experience some of the metabolic decrease that some do when on calorie restricted diets.

    I know someone through SP who will lose extra weight in anticipation of Christmas, she is awesome I love her

    I sometimes do, but less often now as I just try to eat less of that special meal and usually that works.

    I do. But less often now as I've found the same thing, that stuff I used to love and crave just doesn't do it for me and I think, for these calories I could X. Lol.
