I'm moving past ragweed pollen season and getting active again. I had a rough late summer/early fall with hay fever allergies to the max, causing a sinus infection with a touch of walking pneumonia to go along with it. I had to take antibiotics for the third time this year and steroids for the second...

But that is behind me and I am getting more active again, easing into things. I have some goals in mind but don't want to jinx them by getting overly ambitious as we head into the food-rich holiday season; suffice to say I'd like to do better than I did last year. I have hope and believe in myself.

I took over leadership of the Eclectic Readers team and hope that it will help keep me on track and on site here, which is an aid. Happy reading!

Have you ever tried essential oils for allergies? I can give you some suggestions if you'd like. The holidays are tough when living a healthy lifestyle, but remember it's a choice - a choice to be healthier and happier! It's more important than ever to say 'no, thanks' to the goodies. You CAN do it! When you go to gatherings, bring your own healthy dish to pass so that you know you'll have something good you can fill up on, and drink lots of water before going and during the event. This will help you stay away from giving in (and then feeling crappy later!) to the unhealthy stuff that surrounds us during the holidays.
    We CAN do it! :)

Good luck with your allergies, I know how bad they can be! Holidays can be enjoyed without overeating. I hope you find a way to enjoy yourself and keep your diet good.
