Woke up this morning to a nice fall morning; cloudy, mild and no rain. The dog Royce and I did our usual walk of 90 minutes. I take a mug of coffee with me and it takes 50 minutes to walk to Tim Hortons where I get a coffee refill then 40 minutes home via a different route.
I do my walk first think in the morning before my mind can figure out what I am up to. I am a procrastinator so keeping the routine of doing it first thing in the morning works best for me.
I find that having routines makes life much simpler and the LTGL challenges have suggested good habits to make routine. Examples are: having a water bottle with me when I go out and planning my sleep time in advance. I benefit by adopting these good habits and because it is a routine it is easy to do. Just like we don't have to think about putting on the seat belt every time we get into a car. It is a routine we do without even thinking.
