Seek and you will find...

Saturday, December 17, 2016

Life changes your perspective. You read something that resonates with you and then you read it again a year later and it may resonate in a deeper level than before. I like that. Last night a woman shared her life story, so far, and she talked about faith building moments, not trials or struggles although they were, but how God had walked with her during these times. Faith building moments. God has given me a spiritual theme every year for quite awhile now. Something to ponder, something that keeps coming up to encourage and challenge me. Last year it was "Seek and you will find". I found that odd in January. But now as the year is ending I find it greatly comforting. This has been a faith building year. Times of deep sorrow, fear, uncertainty... Times of trusting, surrendering, reconnecting, a long-time prayer answered, love and hope. Like Linus I have dropped the blanket as I trust in the truth I know deep in my spirit. God loves me. He has a plan and it is for good. I can trust Him. I will keep seeking and I will find. Merry Christmas and Blessings for the New Year. I haven't watched Charlie Brown Christmas yet this year, but I will soon.

So Charlie Brown that's what Christmas is all about. My sister who passed from cancer in 2012 had a Linus Christmas card framed with this.It is one of my greatest treasures now. I miss Marilyn. The tears wont stop coming. She meant something to us.
