Understanding what the friend feed is

Sunday, February 12, 2017

Today I got a strange comment on my activity feed. "Is that all you do is compliment yourself? Please remove me as friend" So she doesn't understand that spark generates the activity feed based on our activities. Trying not to be offended. What do you guys think?

That’s strange. Isn’t that what we are here for ? I thought we build ourselves up and our “friends” help us affirm how wonderful we are. This helps with self esteem, confidence and you help your friend. Am I wrong?

And "stop complimenting yourself! " LOL Seriously, you are one of the non-braggiest people here!

Happy belated Thanksgiving to you. We moved last summer and finances are tight but I am tired of hanging around staring at the TV. Thank you for your note. How are you doing?

Hey, there, AGP. Thanks for your comment. I can't figure out how to leave a comment on your page, so I'm doing it here. I'm okay, thanks. Gained some weight back, but nowhere near what I had lost. For some reason I gave in to feeling stressed.

    lol, oh boy.
I had someone insult my blog once, stating that the title was misleading, telling me that my blogs are too long to keep people interested, saying I veered off topic, and even attempted to teach me some literary tricks.

She doesn't understand that, #1, I'm not a spark coach and was not giving instruction on how to lose weight. 2. I speak from my heart about how my days and weeks unfold. 3. I write about funny situations that I get stuck in, and that 4. I've been complimented many times on my playful, interesting style of writing.
She also told me that she will NEVER read one of my blogs again!

So, I merely went to her page, explained the above, and then asked if she gets enough fiber in her diet.
That may have been a little sarcastic or harsh, but it seemed like she was just out of sorts that day for some reason... because...wow...just wow!

That's weird. I would just let it go. Some people may not realize all the work that went into making your body what it is today. Maybe it came from frustration or envy, but whatever it is, it's not you.

Experiences like this never cease to amaze me. I'm sorry that happened to you. Clearly this person did not understand Spark AND apparently has issues of their own. Keep being the wonderful person you are!

Lol I read this blog and couldn't help but lol. We all refer to our experiences. I do it all the time. You didn't need her as a friend anyway. Keep up inspiring people. You are a thoughtful person and help with good advice.

I guess you should follow Mr. Wilson's take on dealing with children in the 1993 movie Dennis the Menace: "You must roll with the punches. You must expect the unexpected."

I would have to agree with you though— very strange!

In the words of a famous princess, "let it go!" ;)

Oh my goodness, that terrible and rude.

I just went to her page and it seems very empty and lonely. So I agree with MSANN59 to just pray for them. I know you have already unfriended her. Don't let this get you down, we - your friends here at Spark understand how the feed works.

    Chin up and Keep Sparking!

That is kind of funny. :-). You could view it as an educational opportunity or let it go. It's possible they had a bad day.

That person must be new and not understand the point of an activity feed themselves.... ignore it, don't give it any energy and move on😉
