Week 2, Phase 1, Day 3

Well I started the day as usual, getting out of bed, going to the bathroom and then weighing myself. I like to get on the scale every morning so I won't forget to weigh in on weigh-in day. Plus it is a mental note of what happened and how the scale is affected. I was a bit shocked though, I weighed 190 today, 3 more pounds down. WOW...I love it, but am not expecting it to last through tomorrow or the end of the week as I know weight fluctuates daily with stress, sleep, etc.

Boys gave me trouble on only day 2 of school, so morning was a bit of a rough start, but had breakfast with a friend. We also walked the river and downtown together. It was very relaxing and refreshing on this crisp cool morning.

I am still sticking to the food program for this Dia Method. It is getting to that day when I am struggling a bit as I want to eat mindlessly a bag of Chex mix or garlic crackers, but I kept trying to bring my mind back to the fruits and veggies in the fridge and trying to determine which one I could grab and snack on to get the same effect without the calories or starches. I opted to eat lunch and grabbed leftovers of the sausage and lightly sautéed veggies from the other night. The bowl has hash-browns in it, but I will throw them out. The leftovers need to get eaten either way.

Still a bit hard to remember to keep my stomach held in, but continuing to try. Also doing the exercises for 10 minutes every day. Still seeming to get easier , not that they are easy, but 10 minutes at once may be doable by the end of the week.

Did the video yesterday. I was surprised to keep up with it. I also pre-watched the next video, so I know what to expect. I am glad I have a thicker exercise mat and a thinner one. I will need the thicker one for the next workout. I have trouble laying on my right side without pain and ache, so the thicker mat will be helpful. Next DVD will be done on Friday.
