Clafoutis - this is how I do it

Melt 3 Tbs Butter in pie pan in microwave

Beat 4 eggs; 1/2 cup flour; 2/3 cup sugar; 2/3 cup milk

Pour what ever kind of fruit you want, drained into the pie pan;

Pour egg mixture over the fruit.

Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes or how ever long until it is brown on top.

Tips: you can use any canned or fresh fruit. I use the juice with powdered milk instead of the milk.

To make a savory version: Leave out the sugar and use frozen veggies; defrosted.
I have not made the savory version yet.

Try one of these before using my version:

Acid Foods

You can also check if your favorite foods could be filling you up with acids with this list of 25 acid-promoting foods.

J.J. Smith’s Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Plan - Designed by nutritionist J.J. Smith, this detox can help you kickstart your diet.

It is a 3-4 week plan that includes meals and drinks that help support the body’s natural detoxification process and promote a healthy environment for good bacteria in the body. This detox plan is suitable for anyone with signs of toxic overload or symptoms such as bloating, constipation, headaches, low energy, pain, and weight gain.

Step 1: Drink ACV Before Breakfast

To kick-start your morning, have a berry apple cider vinegar drink first thing in the morning, about twenty minutes before you eat your breakfast. This sweet ACV drink will stimulate your digestive system and keep you feeling full throughout the day.

Step 2: Have an ACV Salad Combo for Lunch

In the afternoon, fill up on a salad that contains protein, fat, and fiber. This combination of nutrients will slow digestion and the absorption of sugar, keeping blood sugar levels balanced and lowering any unhealthy cravings you might have. Top your salad with an apple cider vinegar-based dressing. Try Smith’s apple walnut spinach salad that meets all of the criteria.

Step 3: Add ACV to Dinner

One of the keys to succeeding on the apple cider vinegar detox plan is to make sure you eat clean protein, such as chicken, shrimp, or salmon. The protein helps power up your metabolism and when paired with apple cider vinegar, it’ll give you an extra flavor boost as well. Smith’s healthy buffalo wings will keep you satisfied instead of deprived on this detox.

Step 4: Don’t Forget ACV Snacks

If you do have cravings on the detox, you can always snack on easy bites made with apple cider vinegar. They offer a tangy taste to low-calorie snack options, such as cucumbers and popcorn.

Wow, I'd never heard of Clafoutis before, so I had to look it up and saw a description and recipe on Wikipedia. Yum! Cherries! and I have some Washington Sweet Cherries now. I'd probably experiment using almond or coconut milk since I can't do dairy very well, and stevia instead of sugar, or maybe try my unrefined sugar "jaggery' which I bought and haven't tried yet. But with the egg batter on it, ohhhh it can't be anything but delicious!!

Did you ever try the savory version?? We've found that French toast can be done savory, as well as like bread pudding - just add cheeses or savory herbs ... the butter and eggs work savory or sweet!!

How come I'm just now bumping into you here on SparkPeople when we've both been here about the same number of years!?
