Ever have that feeling when everything just clicks and things work right? Well, I have been "clickless" for quite some time. I have been consistently on Spark since January. I have struggled, gained, lost, regained the same 2 or 3 pounds. I've been discouraged, confused, overwhelmed, but, I haven't given up. One thing I am good at is not giving up. I know I have to make this work. So, approx. 3 weeks ago I re-evaluated what I was doing in terms of diet and why it wasn't working. For a long time I have avoided most carbs. I, also, have been bouncing from one eating plan to another, without real consistency or direction. I decided to try following the Mediterrean style diet. So, what I found, for me, was that the addition of some heathy carbs made me feel more balanced and I craved food less. After a few days of experimenting, it happened...CLICK!... I was in control again. I feel better, there is gradual weight loss, and, did I mention, I feel better. Although I know known, intellectually, that the right balance of nutrients is important, I actually can feel the difference this time. The nutrition tracker here helps me to see that and has been a great tool. I have a long way to go, pitfalls ahead, but it feels good to be back on the right track. Everyone needs to find what works best for them and what a great feeling when you find it!
