From whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4;16

Adult humans have 206 bones, 640 muscles, 78 internal organs, 912 organ systems), 900 ligaments, thousands of tendons and 100 million cells. Humans also have four major appendages (arms and legs), each of which has 5 separate digits (fingers and toes). And they are all connected to form one human body. There is one body with with a vast number of parts. All the parts are separate and unique, yet all are connected and unified.
Is it any wonder the apostle Paul used the human body as an example on the Church, the body of Christ. Being a Christian is like being one of the parts of the human body-unique and perpetual. Yet every Christian has a privilege of being part of something larger than himself-the body of Christ.
Consider your two dimensions in Christ uniqueness in Christ contributing to unity in Christ. Are you enjoying and fulfilling both? Just as every part of the human body is important, so is every part of Christ;s spiritual body.
