Home again

Friday, June 05, 2020

We are finally home from Florida. I usually fly home in April but this year my husband and I drove home. We did it in three days stopping at two hotels. Neither hotels were serving their usual breakfast due to the covid rulings in their states. The traffic was less than usual but not by much On 84 trucks were really moving merch around the country.

I am glad to be here. It is warm by Maine standards but certainly not by Florida We left in 90 degree with humidity and today I would guess near 65 this morning. What a relief. I have been told by other New England to Florida transfers that you get used to the heat, it takes time. Well maybe it does. This covid epidemic has certainly made me realize how much time some things take.

Have a safe day.

Thank you all so much for you wonderful comments. I am now in for two weeks. But I can go into my flower garden and start to weed. I left bags of mulch last fall so I can clean up and spread mulch.

Happy you are home safe. Enjoy the cooler weather.

From now on, when I binge watch "Maine Cabin Masters" on Monday nights, I will think of you. Love the show!

I'm glad u avoid the Maine winters. I use to follow Amy Dacyczyn, The Tightwad Mother who lived in Leeds. She had 6 kids and a husband who was totally supportive of her efforts. I grew up in Illinois and hated cold weather. I've lived in Florida for the last 40 yrs.
