As I sit here typing this, I can see the full moon starting to set out my front windows. A nice little bit of atmosphere for Halloween. That's all the atmosphere I will get until I go downstairs and visit my black cat who lives with my son. With the rapid rise covid cases setting new records all over the country, I have no intention of handing out candy tonight. I will turn the porch light off and do something in the back of the house so there are no lights out front.
Saturday is laundry day and this weekend it is also a friend's daughter's Bat Mitzvah. They were originally planning to have it in their front yard so people could attend, but with the new mitigations, that will be a small family gathering and the rest of us will Zoom-attend. Interestingly enough, the weather is going to cooperate with having the ceremony outdoors - sunny and high 50s.
Off to start my day - wishing you all a safe and Happy Halloween!
