My Fab Five for November
Saturday, November 07, 2020
'Have you shared your plans for November?' The Wise Ones ask. 'Have you reviewed October's goals? You are more likely to commit to plans you share than by going it alone.'
So here are my Fabulous Five - the aims that I am going to carry out daily this month.
#1. 30mins Exercise of some kind daily on top of normal daily routine. This was an unexpected blessing in October. DH had to have surgery and coming out with me on my walk gave him his own goal to aim for. We're keeping this going through November's lockdown.
#2. A personal Ban on chips and similar savory snacks. I will substitute fruit or a mini nuts and seeds box. This is working well and I added 'No Candy' as a challenge with a team mate. We are both keeping to it!
#3. Hydrate. Better but not perfect. To jog my memory, there's a bottle on my work desk and the computer desk as well as the kitchen. This is one to focus on as I am mainly stuck indoors again and the central heating has a drying effect.
#4. One 'Organising' task. Woop, Woop!! Cleared and decluttered my teaching base over the month and my son was able to paint the room over school half term break.
I'm going to start on the study next. We won't get it decorated but it will be more orderly.
#5. One 'Me' task. This could be anything ...music, nails, a book, foot massage. It's my time and my reward. My 15 minutes of calm. This definitely stays on November's list.
So far, so good this week with a temporary hitch when the heating broke down. The weather is a bit temperamental but I can wrap up warmly and get outdoors.
Fab Five? I have got you sorted for November. You make me feel safe and in control.
Wishing you all the best with your hopes and achievements for November.
