One step in the journey

I love to take a trip but of course none of us are going very far with the threat of covid these days. The journey I'm talking about though is the journey of weight loss and well-being. My husband and I try to get out for a walk most days but our walks are not long one these days. Both of us have fallen into the habit of eating things we know we shouldn't so our bodies are taking a toll. I really want to reverse this so once again I am focusing on what I know will be better for me and hopefully both of us. The first step for me is to to focus on what I put in my mouth and the best way to do this is to start tracking what goes in my mouth. I'm not very good at this but day one (check). I'm also wanting to pay attention to my water intake so day one (check). Even if I just focus on those two things this week it will be a big plus.
Starting again is frustrating but I've been here before but it is the only place to begin. Every journey begins with that first step and the beginning of the season of Advent when we light the candle of hope seems to be a good time to start this journey.
