Resurfacing and finally losing

I fought it. I loved my starches but all of what I've done in the past wasn't working anymore. Between retirement & lockdown pounds I kept gaining. Feels like my thyroid just doesn't have much go power anymore.

Randomly I came across the Eat Like a Bear template that encourages intermittent fasting (an eating window of say 1 to 6 hours a day) and your meal/s revolve around a salad template of a mixing bowl full of lettuce/greens and other vegs with protein on top called the RBS (ridiculously big salad). Of course, I still use beans, soy curls, tofu etc. with hemp hearts, avocado and a dressing. You can do a version with lower glycemic veggies too. Just search YouTube for Amanda Rose's videos or check the link below.

I started in late Jan. at a weight across a border I won't mention, BUT after fiddling around, you know the drill do - well/fall off/do well/fall off........This last week I have stuck to the plan at least 90 + % & I am down 7 pounds. I eat 2 meals between 11-5ish.

I'm tracking my food & am eating around 1,200 cal. I can't keep the carbs as low as they rec (20gr) since I'm all veg, but that's OK. It still works for me.

Prob won't be super involved on SP. I haven't found a group that fits yet. But any of my old contacts here feel free to holler! emoticon emoticon

    Hello Congrats on your weight loss. I also follow ELAB. I started about four weeks ago and lost 4 pounds. Love the RBS but I am not vegetarian. The only group who includes ELAB is Intermittent Fasting. Love Amanda Rose and her accomplishments. Good luck to you.
