Finished One, On to the Next Training Program; Newbie Vegan Doing Well
Monday, March 22, 2021
I've really enjoyed the Coach Scott Abel's Hardgainer Solution Program 3.0 designed especially for at-home-exercisers. There were 32 different workouts using resistance bands, dumbbells and body weight. I worked it 3 days per week. Finished the last one on March 14, 2021.
Last week was Active Rest.
Today (March 22), is the start of a new training program for the next 4 weeks. It’s a Four-Day Hypertrophy Workout. This program is structured:
Day1 - Pull/Push
Day 2 - Legs/Hips
Day 3 - Push/Pull
Day 4 - Hips/Legs
I will progress each week like this: week 1: 3 sets of 8 reps; week 2: 3 sets of 10 reps; week 3: 3 sets of 12 reps; week 4: 3 sets of 14-15 reps.
This morning was upper body Pull/Push using resistance bands and dumbbells. I enjoyed doing 'traditional strength training exercises'.
On the nutrition side of things I'm doing quite well with being a newbie Vegan. Loving all the different ways to eat and prepare vegan meals. I definitely lean towards whole foods and not packaged/processed vegan-related food items. I've noticed the sodium content of those food items can be HIGH and based on the fact it is a micronutrient that I want to decrease.
I've had a loss of pounds (downward trend) and inches. My blood glucose and blood pressure readings have improved and keep doing so.
I started taking Jarrows Methyl-B12 supplement. Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Unflavored Powder) is being delivered today. I like the fact it has NO sweetener. I can stand to bump up my protein amount since I'm actively resistance training and making sure generally I get enough protein on days that it's low.

Wishing each of you a marvelous day and month!
