No, I don't have RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) but I do have Raynaud's Syndrome which affects my hands/fingers and last year I got the "dreaded white fingers" which is quite uncomfortable and even painful.

I was googling RA & Potassium, out of curiosity for 2 friends with Severe RA and was surprised to read that the recommendation is 6000 mg Potassium daily.

Well, you know me - I said, what the heck - I have 2 new bottles of Potassium and my shakes are full of potassium. It required me to add a Potassium Pill to each meal and one at bedtime. (Interestingly, prescription Potassium Pills are only 600mg each and the price I found was $20 for a month's supply. I can do this with pills during the day for less money.)

The good news is that since I started this, no more white fingers and no more tingling neuropathy in my fingers! I have even had to take off my wrist band - a practice since I was 25 to keep my hands from hurting.

PLEASE! Ask your physician before you even consider trying this. YOU might have a reason not to consume this much Potassium. Take a picture of the articles with your phone and bring it the next time you see your physician. Better to be safe than to be sorry.

Thank you for the links. Good information and you're right. Best to talk w/your health care provider before you do this just to be sure that it's safe for YOU.

    Glad it's helping your Raynaud's.

Just asked my sis...she said moving south helped but her Raynaud’s pretty much disappeared after she quit smoking.

Is Raynaud’s associated with RA in some way?
    Glad you found some relief.
My younger sis moved to NC as her Raynaud’s was so bad in Maine where she lived.
