April Went Well...

Tuesday, May 04, 2021

Now to kill it in May...A new month means: a new strength stack training program. New goals to crush. New opportunities to get stronger—physically and emotionally.

Speaking of emotions—May 10th is the anniversary of my dad’s passing. It will be 2 yrs this May and feels at the same time just like it was yesterday my dad and I were joking together. It is also my bestie’s birthday—she’s going to be 50 this year. She and I have been friends for FORTY TWO YEARS. Like me, she was extremely close to my dad—closer than even my other 2 biological sisters. So as you can imagine neither of us really feels like celebrating. So instead, I am working on my gratitude practice and being thankful that these two beautiful souls—one who entered the world on May 10th—and the other who left this world on the same day—were (and continue to be) part of my life and how I am a better person for having known both of them. Asè.🖤

It will be two years for my dad in October. "Absent from the body, present with the Lord" comforts me. Hugs to you.

Congrats and a great April and wishing you the best for May.

I leave you with a quote that has brought me some solace . . .

“Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go” Jamie Anderson
