Overwhelmed-sick friend, pandemic recovery

Thursday, May 06, 2021

Right now I am in a panic. Too much to do too little time. I have a sick friend which makes things worse.. There are taxes, some professional courses I need to take, slightly behind at work. I know this is nothing to panic over but I do.

Plus I have been going out more-trying to get back to my pre-pandemic level of activity. Maybe if I just work on things i dont think about things too much I will feel better.

I thin I got upset that i was in an online healthy habits class where everyone denied the pandemic had a negative effect on them. In addition, i think the new normal will be an adjustment.

I think we all just need to adjust to the new normal. I was a bit depressed last year but I think I am doing better this spring. We are all under another 6 week mandatory, stay at home order here. Won't be over until May 20 but government already hinting it could be extended again.

I came to the realization that the pandemic is here and there is nothing I can do to change it but follow the rules and keep myself and mine safe. I just had to find alternate means to release energy, learn to cook more for myself, instead of eating out, and go back to some old fashioned things, like calling friends on the phone to talk, write letters to long lost friends, rekindle old friends, and exercise on my own. Yes some days are bummers, but I decided that I wasn't going to allow it to take over my life! I have learned better planning and execution of my daily tasks.
