Learning From Yesterday

My sweet tooth has been speaking to me a lot lately, and I'm learning how to control it.
1. I listen to what my body wants. Last night it was ice cream.
2. I listen to what my body needs. I had just finished dinner, and did not NEED a treat.
3. Instead of saying "no", I said "maybe later".
4. By the time later came, the cravings were gone, and I worked on an evening project.
Other times, I chew on a piece of sugarless gum to satisfy the cravings. I have found that my cravings behave like a 2-year old child. Saying "no" just seems to frustrate me. Saying later calms me down as I put off until later what I don't need to eat right now.
