Day 14: A Small Bump in the Road

Tuesday, May 11, 2021

I am thinking of this period of difficulty as a small bump in the road. It can't always be easy. Right now I need more supplements, more protein powder, and more incense, but I've made the decision to spend my paycheck this week on clothes instead. Since I've had a difficult stressful time lately I decided the best course of action was to reward myself with something nonfood. That always helps me to get back on a good track. Things feel back to normal this morning and I am back to doing my normal routine. I am starting to feel better in general now that I am recovering from eating the junk food and starting to do my normal tasks and habits and that is going a long way to reduce everyone's stress and get everything back on a positive track. Eating junk food has a way of just getting everything on a negative track so I have multiple reasons for choosing not to eat it.

Eating High Quality Foods: I am hopefully going to get to go grocery shopping tomorrow. I have been starting to replace the junk food with healthy food and have slowly been getting my taste back for healthy foods.

Accurately Measure & Track Food: I'm trying to get back to tracking as well. I really need to see where I'm at for calories and macros right now so I can get a handle on things better. I'm not as worried about cutting back on calories as I am about sorting out my macros right now like cutting back on sodium and carbs etc. and trying to raise fibre and protein.

Drink at least 64 ounces of water: Trying to push and track pretty much all liquids right now.

Non-Scale Victory: My biggest nonscale victory lately is being more mindful. That has been the thing that has helped me the most to get back on track.

Fitness: I think I'm ready to get back into fitness. My swelling and bloat is starting to go down a bit now and I am starting to feel quite a bit better. So I'm going to get back into it tomorrow. I ended up taking more days off than I had wanted, but it ended up being necessary. Sometimes it is. So I will be easing back into things tomorrow morning.

Sleep: Sleep is on a better schedule now and more back to normal. I want to start doing sleep meditations again and see if I can improve the quality.

Quit Progress: Smoking isn't too bad. I'm going to work on improving it, though.

Meditation: Going to focus more on meditation today since today is a much calmer day.

Inflammation/Bloat/Weight Loss: Bloat and inflammation seem to be starting to go down now. Didn't have a good weigh-in this morning but I think I'll be able to start making progress now.

Feeling good and optimistic today and will be perusing online for all the awesome clothes I will be buying this weekend!

Keep Sparking everyone! emoticon
