What's the take away?

So on April 10th I jumped into the Spring 5% Challenge group and rejoined my Rowdy Rebels for 8 weeks of mindfulness, travel, and a bit of competition.

Today we closed our 8 weeks:

Here's what I got out of that 8 weeks.

I'm a lot stronger now that when I started out. . . I was and am still recovering from surgery. Major Surgery. Honestly I didn't expect a lot of progress towards my weight goals during this challenge, it was more for camaraderie, accountability, and gentle reminders to keep on my path.

For about the first 5 weeks of the challenge I was really just focused on eating habits and natural movement. I wasn't ready to get back to the gym yet. Honestly as I type this today, I'm still not quite there yet, but I have a meeting with a trainer later this afternoon to learn some modifications on machines and what machines I should avoid for now.

So. Overall here's what I take away from Spring 2021:

I went from 266.8 to 257.4 that's almost 10 lbs!
I lost 11.75 inches start to finish!
I'm down from a 24 to a 20 (sometimes an 18 depending on the brand)
My confidence is coming back, I'm not scared to do physical workouts now. . . at the start of this I was.. because surgery and neck pain.
I'm closer to my goal. I've got a long way to go, but I'm not in a hurry. I'm taking my time and regaining my strength naturally, I'm more focused on body composition than I am on weight.

I'm excited for the Summer challenge and what I can accomplish during that 8 weeks!
