It was wonderful! Even with the wind, lightening and thunderbumpers..the rain made it almost like the "stuff dreams are made of". The temps cooled, the wind was actually chilly! What a wonderful relief from the heat ! Now as darkness has set it there is still a cool breeze..good sleeping tonight I bet Ja!!
I had promised pics of Sara's green hair...so am putting those in right now before I forget.
She is happy with it and needs to enjoy cause come time for school it will be a memory. They allow "natural" colors only ..hair is a distraction. Really ?? With the clothes that some wear and the actions of the few, can anyone honestly think HAIR is going to be a distraction? She is a good student , does her work and is generally respectful, so how is her hair color an issue?
But I will admit ..it is an attention getting at first glance!!
The geese were happy geese , in their pool playing in the rain. I noticed one hen coming out now and then to check..."is it still raining-they are out!" A rain drop would hit the hen and she would duck back inside more quickly than she came out. I can guarntee you a wet hen is not a pretty sight. I had one fall into one of the deeper water tubs once. I barely could fetch her out I was laughing so hard. I am pretty sure the neighbors could hear her squawking as if she were being killed, flipping and flopping setting up a fountain of water that just made her situation worse! When I did get her out..she shook and took off , looking back at me as if it were my fault! So much for being a hero in my chickens life!!
Molly likes the rain and will stand out in it. Yep my Lab that does not like water likes rain..she is kinda a mixed up dog I do believe! Dutchess on the other hand was in the yard when the rain started to fall and dashed for the door like mad when she got 4 drops on her back. You could see the wet spots and she acted like she had been doused with the hose!
Critters are a 3 ring circus! I have been worried about Blue Boy, rabbits do not tolerate heat well . I was glad for this break in the heat to give him a chance to recover , plus he is getting to be an older rabbit. Hmm I wonder if like people as they get older they get less tolerant of things.
Still sifting thru sites and not deciding on what or where yet. As the new Spark is fine tuned I want to approach it with an open mind. So we will see..in the mean time anyone that has any sites they feel are maybe good to pretty dern good ..any hints or info would be appreciated.
The final challenge started today for the 5% ..a bitter sweet period for sure.
Nite ya'al...enjoy your Sunday and have a good week!!
