We bought our Wii Fit Plus with balance board as a package special. I live up north where winter lasts about 6 months with heavy snow accumulation and cold temps. Since I work from home I was looking for a way to exercise at home in a way that I would do it consistently. Wii Fit Plus works great for me. I exercise consistently before I start my work day.

I should check out pre-owned games - never thought about that!

I use the running, cycling and boxing the most. A great workout for me.

GREENEYES_42, Holly, DeterminedJanet and I are the three co-leaders for this team. My boyfriend bought our Wii System probably about 3 yrs ago now, and he bought the Wii Fit Plus for it because I asked for it. I asked for the wii fit plus, Wii sports and Wii resort games, because I thought they would give me at least exercise if not all of us. I didn't want to play the shoot'em up or racing type games that my boyfriend's 8 yr old wanted to play and his dad would want to play. I am very glad that we got them! If it is too hot out side, or rainy out side or what ever, I can use it to get exercise in our home with out having to go to a gym, or or go out in bad weather. There are a lot of good exercises on it and a lot of variety to keep you going too.

I agree with Holly! It's been a huge help for me with the yoga and ST work as I'm recovering from a knee injury.

emoticon Greeneyes! I'm one of the leaders of this emoticon team.

I've had my Wii Fit Plus for 5+ years now. I think it's a emoticon way to start the day, particularly for those who are newbies in fitness and/or are making a comeback to being physically active, and even for us regular exercisers who want to cross-train our bodies with yoga, strength, etc.

I think the best thing about Wii Fit Plus is that it doesn't matter what level of fitness you're at, it truly helps you increase your strength and flexibility and is an excellent motivator for getting physically active.

I start my day with the Wii in the mornings because the Wii yoga poses are fun and you can pick and choose which yoga poses would challenge or serve you well for the day. They also are not time-intensive. You can choose how many poses you want to do and for how many repetitions or minutes. I find that the yoga helps my aged joints (I'm 44) become lubricated and flexible so I can start out the day feeling loose and ready to take on the day!

The Wii strength training I do whenever I find time during the day/evening. They're quite challenging but the Wii gradually works you up to the advanced level.

Wii also has aerobics like step, cycling, running and the Wii makes it into a *game* so you thoroughly enjoy yourself and don't even feel like you're exercising at all -- which I believe is the key to successful fitness: having FUN without feeling like you MUST workout = long-term weightloss emoticon

If you have a friend who has Wii Fit Plus, I suggest you try it out with them and see whether you like it.

If you have any other Q's, let us know.

I like the Wii Fit Plus and use it regularly. I also belong to the Wii Fit Challenge team run by Sheenadee and I think this helps as she comes up with a new challenge everyweek. This is my exercise of choice first thing every morning along with the Walk it Out game. I don't know if it is still available but when I bought our new balance board the Wii Fit Plus was included with it.

Hello!

I just joined and am thinking about buying Wii Fit Plus and balance board. I'd love to know your opinion on it as to whether it retains your interest for working out? How easy/difficult is it to dedicate yourself during the week? What is your favorite program?

I have a Wii and a few games but have not tried out the Fit Plus program. I see that there are used balanced boards and pre-owned fit plus games out there but should I even look at the used items? Or buy new?

I'd appreciate any opinions you can give me!
Thanks!!
