BURNINGTHYME101: That kind of diet will shed the pounds too. I suggest you drink some water and add protein to your diet like eggs, cheese and 4 oz of meat every 2nd day. Just a plant based diet may not be substantial enough. My opinion. emoticon

Hi, name is Gloria, some call me Glo. Because of my family cholesterol problem my doctor is pushing me too more of a plant based diet. I understand that, that would also help with any inflammation issues. So restrictive I hope it will do some good.

What if this month we all challenged ourselves to eat servings and not portions.

This team looks like a good place to land. emoticon

Although I have weight to lose, that is not my goal. I am eating for my health, and exercising for fitness. Working my way back from injury.

I choose to follow an anti-inflammatory "diet."
Intending to take it slowly to make sure the changes stick is my plan.

Also, I am working to return to my "essential" self -- paring things in my life down to what truly matters, and that I deeply enjoy.

I lived a much better life when I didn't say "yes" to excess.

My goal is to lose one pound a week. Some weeks I lose less, but I won't stop. I am the tortoise not the hare. (Unlike in my younger days when I ran fast then gave up.) emoticon
