I have a diverse taste in music and when I run I tend to lean towards "bouncy" pop and hip-hop, with a smattering of rock thrown in for good measure. Some of my favorites currently on my list are:

Forget you- Cee Lo Green (though I actually listen to the less family friendly version)
I Want you Back-Jackson Five
Izzo (HOVA)- Jay-Z
Sabotage-Beastie Boys
B.O.B-Outkast
Lose Yourself-Emimen
Talk on Indolence (live version) The Avett Brothers
The Cave-Mumford and Sons
Tik Tok-Ke$ha
Born To Run-Bruce Springsteen
Dammit- Blink 182

I love hearing everyone's suggestions. Sometimes good music is the only thing that keeps me going during a tough run.

I've got this.

Voule Vous - Abba
Goody 2 Shoes - Adam Ant
Jive Talking - Bee Gees
Proud Mary - Tina Turner
Nookie - Limp Biscuit
Black Betty - Ram Jam
Mony-Mony - Billy Idol

Goals -

Get rid of 30 pounds
10 pounds gone - Buy a bikini - DONE!
20 pounds gone - Buy slinky cocktail dress
30 pounds gone - Buy size 4 pants

Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, "Wow, What a Ride!!!"

--yeah i've been doing around 130-140BPM for awhile...good thing about the 150BPM... It helps me when i'm cycling to maintain a specific cadence. :) I'm also looking to do some speed work too. Thanks for the help.. You rock! :)

@LADYGWEN25 - I'll see what I can dig up for you. 150 BPM is FAST! emoticon I think most of my mixes are around 138-140 - with some variation. I should have some good stuff, tho.

DARN! I was hoping you had a podcast emoticon If you have a good one around 150 BPM for pacing.. IF you could sparkmail me a list.. I'd appreciate it.. I"m currently having my daughter make me one of all heavy metal songs. :) But i need another techno type one to zone out too for longer runs.

The reason I stopped running the internet radio station is because of the cost of licensing and royalties. Based on the way the royalties were structured at the time (and probably still are), a podcast with music that required royalty payments was not really feasible because royalties were charged by the number of times each listener listened to a song. So, if I played a song once and it was listened to by 10 people, that equals 10 listens. Also, if I made a podcast and one listener listened to a song 10 times, that would also equal 10 listens, but there would be no way for me to calculate those 10 listens and then pay the appropriate royalties. Assuming you purchased the music, any podcast that uses music that requires royalty payments (which is pretty much any song that you don't have a signed waiver from the copyright holder) is breaking royalty rules and technically is music piracy if you provide it to anyone other than yourself to listen to. I don't necessarily agree with these rules, but I don't like breaking them.

That is why I got out of running my internet radio station. Too many rules that were too expensive and counter-productive to the music industry.

@TYKXBOY...Have you thought of making your own podcasts and sharing??? I love technomusic as it gets me into the zone on a long run.. I Have one that cues right after my playlist i shared earlier... so the techno cues in around mile 6 and then i can just zone out and run. :)

Crazy Train - Ozzy Osborne
Rock You Like a Hurricane - Scorpions
Trust - Megadeth

Also, not heavy, but I came across some gems by Faithless this AM - Insomnia and We Come One

@ladygwen25 "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" by Drowning Pool, definitely a good one!

@mbshazzer Love Timo Maas, too! "Help Me" and "To Get Down" are two of my fav's of his.

"I Like to Move it, Move it" by Reel 2 Reel is another good one. :)

I also used to run an internet radio station that played trance/techno music and I produced a number of mixes, so I listen to a lot of my own mixes, too.

Outkast
Pink
Higher Ground (cover) - red hot chili peppers
