We live near a park so go there for a walk when it's nice. I also do some leg work at home but I do it in 5 minute intervals.

Actually, I need to stick with a routine for now - have had difficulties with the lack of available options (problems with cable service and DVD/VCR players), so I have to keep with my improvised daily program until the problems are fixed - at that point I should have no problems with "mixing it up" a bit.....

I'm going to try and find a zumba DVD. I think I would enjoy that.

I do something different almost every day. Some ideas are DVR'ing exercise shows, walking trails, parks and malls, inexpensive community exercise classes, yard work.

Get a buddy to go with you or listen to music or books on CD's while you work out...that keeps my boredom from creeping in!

am doing the boot camp and started up again doing kettle bells..........

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And
maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

What do you do to keep your exercise and strength training from totally boring you?
I try to challenge myself, and do different things. Right now I'm working on the May bootcamp for strength training. Also I try different things for Cardio but my cardio of choice is either swimming, or walking. I'm having a little trouble staying on the treadmill now that its nice out so I take it out side alot more.
Any other thoughts out there?

Mary
