ALLEY - I miss the gym too... until I'm off the crutches, my gym time is pretty much limited! Just a couple more weeks, and I'll be ready to hit it again...

I think we ALL have that kind of relationship with the gym.

It's hard to motivate to go when it's snowing and stuff out, but the walk home feel SOOO good.

Glad to see so many of us still sticking around! It is nice to see! Also glad we are still losing, even if it is slowly!

Happy 6 Months Everybody!

What have I done in 6 months?
- lost 14 lbs
- drink 3-4 liters of water a day
- eating more fruits/veg (compared to zero)
- actually dislike eating out
- became a gym addict!
- have a huge smile on my face when people ask what I'm doing
- and according to my Mom, I jiggle differently

I'm so looking forward to buying a dress for formal in April... hopefully 3 or 4 sizes smaller!

Wow - I guess it has been six months. I am tracking with weight loss goals and maintained over the holiday. My 2011 focus is exercise. If I can't learn to love it (and I hate it now), then maybe I can learn to love how I feel after I've done it!

It's hard to believe it's been six months. I haven't lost as much weight as I planned, but I have lost weight instead of gaining it which is definitely an improvement for me.
Also, I'm exercising regularly and am now aware of what I should and shouldn't be eating. That has to contribute to a healthier lifestyle.
Finally, I'm still motivated which means that it will come, just a little more slowly and that's okay, too.

SILLYHP - I'm w/ ya... even after I reach my goal, I plan to use this site to help me w/ maintainence.

ODAT - I don't know why that happens, but it does to me occasionally as well.

ALLEY - Slow is better than nothing! I had made good progress, but backslid d/t some health issues. Now that they are taken care of, I'm ready to finish this journey once & for all!

I am making it slowly! It is hard to believe it has been 6 months! WoW! One of my goals this year is to lose at least 45 pounds. I know I need to lose it slowly, but 15 pounds in 6 months ... means I am not following the lifestyle change well enough. I also am still job hunting and hoping to find a gym once that elusive job is found!

No problem... I enjoy checkin' in w/ everyone & letting them know that I'm still here for them if they need me!

I can relate to the "slip" thing... I did that myself while waiting to have surgery... now it's time to get things back on track, which I'm in the process of doing.

Hey Sonya,
Thanks for your post and for checking in with us all during your own challenging time!!!! I had success early on but then got sucked into a too busy life and let my weight loss priority slip. What I did accomplish during this time was a consistent exercise habit. I am definitely happy with that accomplishment and now I am back on the weight loss wagon and keeping my calorie intake in a healthier range. It's not going to be easy but I'm here and I'm working it. Thanks again for your post.

HAPPY emoticon !!!

Hope everyone is continuing to do well. Are you still having success? Let us know how everything is going...

I started to ask if you were seeing results as fast as you wanted, but I decided not to because we NEVER get the weight off as fast as we'd like! Remember... it didn't just "appear" overnight, so you certainly can't expect it to "disappear" that quickly!

Keep working and put the information & tools you've gotten from SP to work, and you WILL reach your goals!!!
