Residents of Arizona (as of Sept. 2017)
Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of May 2019. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2019 to be back to below 155.

Jackie, the first thing to do is buy quality oils, ones that are CPTG (Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade). If they have added ingredients or say "do not take internally" or "do not apply to skin", don't buy them! They're not pure nor safe. As far as using them, I use many for many things.

In smoothies, I add a few drops of either lemon, lime, fennel, grapefruit, citrus, cinnamon, tangerine, lavender, peppermint, or wild orange. It's all what you like best. My favorite is grapefruit and fennel. I cook with them all the time. Thyme, coriander, oregano, black pepper, etc. Just a drop will do. And by the way, if you're cold, rub black pepper on your hands and feet and you'll be warm in no time! :) As far as health issues, they are my meds now. I take nothing (for the past 5 years) for any illness or condition except my oils. Feel better than I ever have!

LAKOTALADY I've never used oils in my diet and wouldn't know how. I don't know anyone who does although we can buy oils at a local grocery. Would you please give examples of how to use them or even one... I know what smoothies are and assume you put a few drops in that but how else and which oils are your favorite? Thanks. Jackie

my breakfast is a smoothie with almond milk, spinach, blueberries, oatmeal, and plain yogurt.

I use oils for everything! They've made such a difference in my life, from small things to extremely difficult illnesses. Hubby and I are off all meds now except oils. As I said, they've changed our lives.

I mostly diffuse mine or take them in capsules. I also use them orally on my skin. Will have to try more in my food.

Linndy, I use many, including grapefruit, fennel, cinnamon, lime, tangerine and citrus blend. My favorite of all is the grapefruit and fennel combination. Love my oils!! :)

Kale or spinach quiche, egg on toast, cottage cheese and fruit, oatmeal. I always include some kind of fruit with whichever main dish I am having.

I eat different things. Usually when I have to work it's something quick & easy! Yogurt with fresh fruit, smoothies, sometimes just fresh fruit, & eggs at times. I like to mix it up! emoticon emoticon
