No worries. The scale was not our friend this week. I was 293 so +1. I was as high as 297 this week.

We lost 12 pounds this week. Even better, as a team the 4 of us have lost 14 pounds in three weeks. What can we do to ensure that we lose another 1-2 each this week?

Another loss of 1.4 lbs. I am so glad the scale keeps moving in the right direction. Not huge losses but losses none the less. 4lbs lost so far this month. Let's see if we can do 5lbs or more this month. Good luck ladies! I'm off to another busy weekend at work. I am prep cooking before I leave so I will have healthy grab and go meals all weekend. I found some really good sounding recipes I am going to try. I especially can't wait to try the fajita pasta bake and the taco spaghetti choices. But then I always did like Mexican food. Lol

That is a good thing Kim! And good job sticking to your plan!

Coffee bar is done. Also got hubby's mancave tv upgraded and mounted. Think I may need a bigger mount. Was also going to change out tv in Livingroom (had one of the OLD heavy tvs). Didn't dawn on me that the feet on this one was on each end instead of a middle stand. The legs are wider than my TV stand. I'm going to have to have this one mounted as well. Ordered a mount.

Have Friday off. Need to pick up my meds, return a package to Amazon and once hubby leaves, I get to start the deep dive into the living room. Good luck with the weigh-in tomorrow. I guarantee that my number will be lower.

Good idea Laura. It's no different then going to work. I am not a fan of working at home. There is just too much going on here. And I have so much flexibility that I can do other things instead of work. At least at the office I am able to stay focused.

I did good yesterday sticking to plan. I am not dreading tomorrow so that is a good thing right?

Coffee pot is here. Just had to wait for the water filter for the tank. Apparently they don't include them anymore. You have to buy them separately.

That arrived today and the new pod holders arrive tomorrow so then my coffee bar is complete. I try not to come out of my office during work hours. It helps me to "be at work" instead of worrying about everything else going on in the house. It also gives my husband boundaries so he doesn't disturb me.

I set up for the store to deliver them. Used to go pick them up but there was a time when Covid was just starting that the store encouraged delivery. I paid a fee for a year of free delivery. I like picking out my own produce too but since our stores went to self-checkout, I'm liking shopping less and less.

Let's hope that we all had a good day today and are staying on track.

I'm having pork chops and green bean casserole for dinner with some moon drop grapes and my cheesecake for dessert.

Have a busy day planned for tomorrow. Hoping I can get my nephew over to help install a couple of TVs and then I can start in on the deep dive in the living room.

Tomorrow is the last day before weigh-ins. Let's get a good night's sleep! I saw what lack of sleep did to my scale last week.

Love that your office is almost finished Laura. I will assume your coffee pot came in and you are all done with it. Now will you ever leave your office? LOL Online ordering can be a pain that is for sure. How does that work with groceries though? If they give you someone else’s they won’t allow you to return them will they? That is interesting.

Serene, good for you for getting over your blip and continuing on! That is what we do we get over it and move on!

My goal for today is set and I am sticking to it. I am on track for a loss this week thankfully Finally.

I did order our groceries online however, Doug went and picked them up. Good thing I had Sprite Zero on the list and they tried to substitute with Sprite. Um no I don’t want the calories ya fools. LOL but that was the only issue we had that I am aware of. I didn’t get any fresh produce though. I prefer to pick that out myself.

Grrr with the grocery store. For the 4th time in the past 2 months, they screwed up my order and brought me someone else's. Me and the district manager will have some words tomorrow. Then something I ordered from Amazon came warped and not usable, so I have to screw around with a return. Grrr. The frustrations of online ordering and delivery.

The positive side is that they brought me almost $30 of shrimp and they can't take it back because of covid concerns. So I see some shrimp stir-fry in my future.

How are we doing killers? Are we all on pace for weight loss this week?

Challenge for WEDNESDAY (yes, I got mixed up on my days) -- Set your goal for the day and stick to it. Just worry about today. That next decision. That choice we make that will get us closer to a good weigh-in.

I think anymore, any trip to the grocery store is expensive. Last week's trip, I was over $75 and I hadn't put any food on my grocery order yet.

First day working in my redone office. I'm liking the set up. New coffee pot arrives today and I hung a couple of hooks on the wall so I can hang a couple of mugs from it. Get that installed and I will consider my office complete. It is far more relaxing in here not seeing all the junk laying around. So operation Rid the Chaos has started. Need to catch up on the basics - dishes, laundry, etc tonight and probably tomorrow then the living room is next on my list.

If you didn't see my other post, yes, it actually snowed today so mowing is a bit out of the question today. At least it was a pretty snow. It just reminds me that the end of the year is coming fast.

After the not-so-keto friendly weekend, I'm back on track today. Also am seeing the scale going back down. Still have a ways to go to drop what I gained last week.

Planning on a hamburger casserole for dinner Goal is to be above .5 ketones by Wednesday.

Laura, believe me, I have been over and over it in my mind. I really think this is my out. Otherwise, I will be stuck in a deadend no one cares job if you know what I mean. I am just ready I think.

That sounds like a good offer. The one thing I'd say is to make sure you are deciding this for you and not out of loyalty for others. You may be giving them the feeling that it is ok to look for better opportunities out there. I'm sure you will make the decision that feels right for you. It is never easy to leave someplace that you have worked so hard for.

My brother and nephew had our "horrorfest" get together. Local theatre was showing Nightmare on Elm Street for $1. We had recliners in the back of the theater. It was the 3 of us and only 1 other guy on the opposite side of the theater. That was it. It was like a private showing.

We then ordered taco pizza (ate the toppings/tossed the crust) and a sugar free pumpkin pie. It was a bit of an indulgence but I did my best to minimize it.

Now I'm working on getting my posting done and then heading to bed earlier than I have been. Need a good night's sleep. Have some pounds to drop by Friday.

Sorry didn't mean to abbreviate that explanation. Doug was waiting for me to go to a wedding. He normally takes forever to get ready but yesterday he was quick. Of course.

As you know, I have been doing the books and tax returns for Williams first ever client. He is retiring and giving the business to his son. Who really wants me to come and work for him. He is young and he is motivated to grow the business into something really big. The bigger he gets the more I can make. Plus I really want to see him succeed. He is a great young man. With a huge heart just like his dad. The more I think about it, the more I want to go. Because I think for my own mental health it will be a good idea. For my marriage and for my stinky boys. Mostly my mental health. I am so overworked and overwhelmed right now its taking a huge toll on my wellbeing. Plus if you look at the financial aspect of this I am capped out where I am. There is zero chance for me to go anywhere other than where I am. I am killing myself for no good reason for someone else to tank a business which is exactly what is happening. I have seen the writing on the wall. I promised William one year and I fulfilled that year and then another one. My only issue is my loyalty to my girls. The ones I work with on a daily basis in that office. I don’t want to leave them hanging. So my thought is to attempt to do both till at least March and then I maybe out totally. It’s still a huge decision and I still have a lot of talking to do with Blake before anything will happen but it’s looking more and more like it will be happening. He really wants me to start Jan 1. So we are going to have to come to a agreement on that before anything happens.


I will go and get the right magnesium. I just have straight Magnesium right now. Thanks for that tip.

What an exciting offer Kim. It could mean more stinky boy time. Can't wait to see what you decide to do. On the magnesium - make sure it is magnesium citrate. Other forms of magnesium would keep you in the bathroom a lot!

I meant to answer your question about my job prospect and forgot. Remember that client I go to once a week to do their bookkeeping and payroll? The one that was Williams first client? He is giving the business to his son and he wants me to come work for them full time. More money more perks less hours and less stress. It's a lot to take in. I am still thinking about it!

Coach told me to take magnesium citrate and that I could take as much as 1000 per day. What works best for me is 500 in the morning and 500 at bed. Has stopped my leg cramps. If I take less, my legs will wake me up.

How much magnesium are you taking if you don't mind me asking Laura? I am taking 400mg every night Maybe I need to take 2 pills instead of 1 I may try that tonight.

I also take advil pm 2 or 3 and nadda. I still am up and walking around in the night.

I sleep more soundly since I upped my magnesium. I just need to get to bed earlier. Sometimes when it is really bad Kim, I've taken a Tylenol PM - just one. Two makes me too groggy the next day.

So once again not alot but still a loss so I will take it. 2.6lbs total gone so far in 2 weeks.

Laura I got ya it's really hard on me to lose weight without getting proper sleep. I will be praying you get some sleep this week. It's hard to focus with so little sleep. This is also a goal I struggle with. Hopefully we can all get the proper sleep we need this week.

A number that I swore I would not see again. It was literally 300.0

I know that lack of sleep played a huge roll in that number and I'm not worried that it will come down after a couple nights of good sleep. But I also know that some of the choices I made this week contributed to it as well.

So I blew it for the team this week, but I assure you, I WILL make up for it in Week #3.

Serene, I wish I could get some sleep. I am tired of being tired all the freaking time. I think my brain doesn't know how to shut up!~

Laura, glad you got a lot done for work. It's hard to leave it at work when you are working from home isn't it? I hope you are able to get your office set up the way you want it.

Amy (boss lady she thinks). Gave us all the week off next week with pay. And we don't have to tap into our vacation time. I just have to go in on Monday and do payroll and the rest of the week is mine to do nothing! YAY I think she knows we are burnt out. So I am planning on cleaning my house and one day, I will go visit my daughter and shop with her.

It is now after 11pm and alarm is at 6 so I better get my sparking done and head in that direction. I literally can see the scale go up 3 lbs on days where I get little sleep.

Big push on my project today, so my morning tomorrow will be a little more relaxing. Afternoon maybe not so relaxing, but then it is the weekend.

Goal for the weekend - start working on revamping my office. Set myself up for success with less chaos and a new 2nd monitor.

OK - I'm back and ready to kick some serious killer booty! How are we doing ladies?

I had everything come crashing down on me this week and I decided that I'm tired of it. Time to take control again.

Goal tonight - get more sleep. I have an early morning taking kitten to vet for follow-up. Then another very busy workday. Meals are planned for the most part - giving hubby choice between Chicken burritos or Chicken & cabbage.

Challenge for Thursday. Get a good night's sleep. Our scales will reflect that on Friday!

Laura, sometimes a mental health day is needed.

I didn't do much of anything yesterday. Made a couple of halloween shirts but that is about it. Oh and a face mask for my hubby. He wanted a Creature from the black Lagoon so I got that made for him. I didn't do anything I didn't want too though. LOL

Nice job Serene! Another one bites the dust!

Took a mental health day. Got a few things done but mostly took it easy to recalibrate. Got the most urgent stuff done this weekend but decided that I was biting off more than I can chew. So instead, I'm going to use my planner and create daily lists that are attainable.

Stayed in ranges and numbers are looking really good. Have been below 120 BS for the past few days.

Busy day tomorrow. All prepared.

We are in this together Kim! Let's lose a pound or two together this week. Are you with us?

I've been spitting mad at hubby today. Have been trying all afternoon to get him to do the trimming while I mowed the lawn. As soon as I was out of sight, he came inside and was laying in the recliner. He is just now (6pm) finally doing it. I finished mowing an hour and a half ago. Men! They can be so aggravating.

On a more positive note, I used that frustration by trying my first pork roast in the instant pot. Our store had shoulder roasts on sale for 99 cents/lb. Got a 7 lb roast. Figured we could do some BBQ pulled pork for dinner and would have plenty for another meal and some lunches this week.

Now to figure out what to have with it.

Not sure about dinner, Kaitlyn is coming in for Lukie's birthday tomorrow. My baby is going to be 6 I can't believe it.

I wish I could get some sleep. I even bought melatonin gummies again to try those again. NO Dice last night.

You already saw my upgrade for Wednesday. Hubby even liked it.

Stuck with plan. Since hubby was home, changed dinner a little to ham sandwich with some grapes and fresh tomatoes.

Ready for hubby to be gone tomorrow so I can get stuff done tomorrow night. Plan for tomorrow - usual breakfast, ham and cheese for lunch, Something with smoked sausage for dinner with some squash.

Challenge for Thursday - SLEEP! Get plenty before our weigh in on Friday.

That is very true Laura, I accept your challenge. Normally on Wed I don't do makeup or hair. Noone to see me at the office, Today I will.

Breakfast today will be a apple and yogurt
Lunch is a baked potato with bbq chicken and cheese on top.
Dinner is going to be sandwiches and chips.

Todays challenge is to find a great quote and write it on a post it not to remind yourself you are awesome!

Oh yes! I'm up for that challenge Kim!

Breakfast was my usual - eggs, bacon & toast. Lunch was a tuna salad sandwich and some grapes.


My challenge for Wednesday is to do one thing to make yourself look better. Make-up, hair style, nicer blouse, pretty bracelet or earrings, etc. We look better, we feel better about ourselves.

We had chicken noodle soup for dinner the other night. Such a good comfort good.

Today I have my homemade yogurt for breakfast, a baked potato with bbq chicken and cheese in it. And for dinner we are having a big salad!

Fantastic Serene!

Meal plan looks great Kim.


Hubby was feeling a bit weird at lunch today so he asked for Chicken Noodle Soup so got some for him and used a different lower carb chicken soup for me. I think that what is happening is that the new med they put him on actually suppresses the appetite and he doesn't know what that feels like. I also got a sleep study set up for him so he can get a new CPAP. His numbers are finally dropping.

With all the craziness of today, I actually took a quick nap after work and am on track to get to bed at a decent hour tonight. Have a hair appt tomorrow evening. I'm having some burgundy streaks added for a new fall look.

Challenge for Tuesday - Have a healthy breakfast and/or lunch.

Sounds like a good plan Serene.

Had lemon garlic chicken tonight with winter mix veggies and sliced tomatoes

I have ham, tater tot casserole, Baked fish, Brats, kielbasa, tacos for main dishes. Salad, acorn squash, butternut squash, spinach, green beans, corn on the cob for side dishes. Lunches - hamburger cabbage soup, peanut butter sandwich, grilled cheese, tuna salad, with fresh veggies and cheese sticks for sides. Also have some moon drop grapes that I can have a few of each day.

Monday Challenge - Find a motivational quote, picture or article.

I did not make it to the grocery yesterday. I am am going today!!! Like here in a few minutes. Long story still a little hard to talk about. Got into it with my PITA son last night.

I do the same thing Laura with planning 7 meals and then deciding that morning what we will be eating. At least I know what we will be eating for the week.

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you have been filling your kitchens with healthy foods to eat. Challenge for today - put your meal plans together for the rest of the week. Think about your schedules so you know how much time you have to fix meals. That way we have fewer reasons to deviate.

I typically will come up with 7 meal choices and work off the list, letting hubby decide which one I make each day.

Boxing. Haven't done that one in awhile. I used to have an exercise dvd with Ali's daughter. Not sure where that one is. I'll have to look for it. I did the one thing I hate the most. Made 4 extra trips up and down the stairs in the house. Hit my step goal too.

Thanks for the challenge Beckey. Tracking food has probably been the last habit to slip back into after vacation. I've been sticking to some regular meals so I know I wasn't way off track, but I always do better when I track.

My challenge for you guys this weekend is to take some time and de-stress. Even if it is only for an hour. Relax. Read a book. Take a bubble bath. Put the headphones in and listen to your favorite tunes. Play with some stinky boys. Whatever makes you feel right with the world.
