The Rebar Modern Food Cookbook is not vegan, but it contains many vegan recipes and vegan modifications for many other recipes. I have been cooking out of this book for seven years and everyone begs me to make dishes from it when they come over. How about Painted Desert Salad- greens with avocado slices, roasted red pepper, pine nuts and smoked cheddar, with a dressing made from balsamic, olive oil, honey and pureed chipotle peppers? Or Greek Red Lentil Soup, where the red lentils are simmered and then mixed with fresh rosemary, lemon juice and feta? Seriously, every recipe is amazing!

Stats: Female, 5'4", 28 years old.

Goal: From 152 (07/24/2011) to 125 by December, 2011. DONE! December 4th weighed in at 124. In 2012 I've been maintaining around 122, which is a thirty pound loss. My BMI has gone from 26.1 to 20.9 since following the Spark plan!

Awesome suggestions! I made the Cookies N Cream cupcakes from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, super yummy. (Don't make 'em too often, though!)

I checked Vegan Soul Kitchen out of the library, it's pretty fantastic.

And check out www.itaintmeatbabe.com My favorite vegan blog by far!

Thanks for all the suggestions, keep 'em coming!

I have Appetite for Reduction and really like it. Veganomicon is on my wishlist! I mostly get recipes from the vegan blogs i.e., Happy Herbivore, Peas and Thank You, etc... Can't wait to hear other suggestions!

I have all of the cookbooks by Sarah Kramer (and Tanya Barnard), which are by far my favorites so far. I also really like Veganomicon.

Do you guys have any Vegan Cookbook recommendations? I am always on the hunt for new ones.
