Some of us are ‘visually motivated’ and adding your steps daily, weekly, or monthly provides the extra boost that you might be looking for. SO ~ if you want to count your steps, then this thread is for you!!!

First, please feel free to link your step device(s) to your SparkPeople account so that your exercise can automatically be counted. This is not a mandatory step, but if you have a fitness device and/or app that tracks your steps/exercise, you might want to link it as it will help to track most of your exercise automatically.

Next – similar to what we did in the Miles Tracker Forum, you can set up your own daily/weekly/monthly tracker. You have the option to set up a tracking thread for yourself, or – if you are a little competitive and like to see what others are doing, feel free to add your tracker to the group thread. On a PC, the quickest way to ‘find’ your thread within a long list of posts is to type ‘ctrl-f’. This will bring up a small window – there you will put your SparkName and it will quickly take you to your post. To avoid the threads getting too long, how about we do a new group thread per quarter? Jan/Feb/Mar ~ Apr/May/Jun ~ Jul/Aug/Sep ~ Oct/Nov/Dec.

Isn’t it fun to see our fellow SparkPeople on various other sites? If you are a member of a walking site or have a FitBit name, for instance, add those links if you would like so that we can connect in other areas as well as on SparkPeople.

2020 was a really difficult year for many. We are trying to recognize that and also realize that there are things that are way beyond our control. We all know that exercise and eating right is good for our bodies and a boost to our physical appearance, but it is much more than that ~ it is a real way to put one foot in front of the other each and every day. Many people have days were they just don’t want to start to exercise, but when they are done ~ MOST people WON’T say that they were sorry to have completed their session. Many times people feel energized and refreshed for having put in the time.
WHY DON’T WE ALL ‘PUT IN THE TIME (& STEPS)’ TOGETHER in 2021?
